pairing bose soundlink with iphone

Neither my iPad or iPhone will pair any longer with my Bose Soundlink. The Soundlink flashes in pairing mode but neither the iPhone nor iPad will detect it on Bluetooth. I have tried turning all of the devices on and off with no success. Any ideas please?
