The AirPlay code and password are the same in this respect. On your iPhone, when you go to Control Panel (drag down from top right of screen) and select AirPlay, once you select your television the iPhone should show an option to enter the password. Is this how you're enabling AirPlay? Use AirPlay to stream video or mirror the screen of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
