Voicemail Trouble

When I first requested my new iPhone, I specified that I was using AT&T because that was the network I used at the time. But by the time the iPhone arrived, I had decided to switch to Mint. Since the phone uses eSIM, everything worked fine—except the voicemail. Even when I set up my voicemail message, callers are directed to an AT&T message system when they call my number. But I can’t set up that system and they can’t leave messages. Do I need to call AT&T about this? I closed my account with them because frankly their customer service doesn’t know how to fix anything.

VoiceMail is carrier specific feature. All your VoiceMail messages are stored in carrier's server and that is full. Emptying iPhone will not serve the purpose

Contact the carrier

Or do the following:

  1. Tap Voicemail, then tap a message.
  2. Do any of the following:
  • Play the message: Tap .
    • Messages are saved until you delete them or your carrier erases them.
    • Share the message: Tap .
  • Delete the message: Tap Delete.
    • Note: In some regions, deleted messages may be permanently erased by your carrier. Your voice messages may also be deleted if you change your SIM card.

To recover a deleted message, tap Deleted Messages, tap the message, then tap Undelete.

I don’t think a full mailbox is the problem. It is that when I switched carriers, my mailbox didn’t switch to Mint (the new carrier) from AT&T (the old carrier). Everything else works properly. I have contacted my new carrier to see about why that is, but I am wondering if the eSIM might be part of the problem since my phone was originally set up with AT&T. If anyone else has had a similar problem, I’d be interested to hear.
