Sleep tracking ends too soon

For some reason, a recent update, now has caused sleep tracking on Apple Watch to stop if I have a wake time alarm set. It doesn’t matter if I go back to sleep after turning off alarm. It just quits tracking at that time. I recently had Covid and was trying to track VO2 and heart rate while sleeping. Originally it would show an awake period and then more sleep past the alarm time.

Hi EssentiallyMarilyn,

If you haven't done so yet, restart your iPhone and Apple Watch. Although simple, this step can help correct some unexpected issues. It's also a good idea to make sure your devices are running the latest OS version, since this can help with overall performance: Update your iPhone or iPad and Update your Apple Watch. If an update is available for your iPhone, be sure to create a backup before installing it.

If the issue persists, reach out to Apple Support directly so they can look into this with you further. They can be contacted here: Contact Apple Support or by calling the most applicable phone number from this list: Contact Apple for support and service.

Regards.
