We have a MacBook Air (13 inch M2 2022) running Ventura 13.2 and a MacBook Pro (15 inch 2016) running Monterey 12.6.3. When both my wife and I are using them, and one of us moves our cursor off the side of their screen, it appears on the other screen! Is this a known problem, and is there a way to prevent it?

This is a feature called Universal Control...

You can easily turn it off.

System Settings->Displays, click Advanced... and UNcheck the options there: "Allow your pointer...", and the others.
