turn off spotlight web search

The most aggravating thing is how Apple has just been consistently sliding downhill. Why can you not DISABLE WEB SEARCHES FROM YOUR SPOTLIGHT SEARCH? I've tried many ways many times and I'm consistently met with the same result: no satisfaction. It's as if there are a group of people, and they sat at a round table, and one went, "let's let them search in Safari from their Spotlight shortcut", and the rest didn't object, and now we all have to suffer with the abomination of having that product designer think they made a beneficial decision.

LET ME REMOVE IT FROM THE SPOTLIGHT SEARCH. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU DO TO TWIST THIS OS, JUST GIVE THE POWER TO UNTWIST IT TO THE USERS BEFORE WE GET USED TO THIS INCREASING MEDIOCRITY.
