How to keep connected my Apple 3 watch following the Advanced Data Protection for iCloud settings

With IOS 16.3 came the Advanced Data Protection for iCloud.

So I set it. However, during the process, it was said my apple watch 3 was not meeting the requirements for this level of cloud data security and it had to be disconnected from the list of my devices.

Ok. I complied.

Surprisingly, my watch is still sending my activities recording to the Fitness app on my iPhone 12pro...

First question: What is this level of disconnection? I am really confused.

But the most annoying remains on the incessant request from the watch to be reconnected to its previous Appel ID.

Second question: How can I get rid of the request?

I was thinking about the opportunity to connect to another apple ID. I have 2 on my iPhone (for emails mainly).

Third question: Is that possible? and what about the Fitness and Health app to receive inputs from the watch though a different ID?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hi hypersix,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand your Apple Watch Series 3 is not compatible with watchOS 9 and you are unable to use Advanced Data Protection with it. You'll want to use the same Apple ID that you're using on your iPhone. You may consider not using Advanced Data Protection until you're able to get a Series 4 or later. This article provides some helpful information about Advanced Data Protection: How to turn on Advanced Data Protection for iCloud.

If you'd like to leave Apple feedback about this limitation you can do so here: Product Feedback - Apple.

Take care.
