NFC antena not working on iphone SE due to operating system bug
Will apple fix this problem? I have spent several hours trying to submit a bug report to apple engineers to fix this. This includes *an hour and a half with customer's support* and a *trip to the apple store.* Here is the situation: There is nothing wrong with the hardware of my iphone SE 2020 (my phone was checked in the apple store). According to multiple questions in apple's community here, these problems have happened to multiple other users since may 2022 when some begun updating the operating system. NFC is used for apple pay and other applications like medical applications (free style libre). I noticed that apple pay was not working about a month ago (I seldom use it). But the problem became pressing when I realized that my new freestyle libre3 sensors were useless with my iphone SE. After spending hours trouble shooting I was booked by customers service for an appointment in the apple store. There, instead of solving the problem or reporting it, they just tried to sell me me a new phone. I found the situation very irritating. I have been using iphones for 14 years. The fact that apple can potentially disable with software updates critical features in older phones to force us to buy newer models has let me to consider for the first time migrating to an android.
