Can the Apple Workout App please track flights climbed?

Can the Apple Workout App please track flights climbed ESPECIALLY on the ‘Stairs’ workout option! That would be an ideal opportunity to include it!

mrvictorricardo,

Thanks for clarifying. Flights of stairs would only appear where you've mentioned it in your original message. If you have any feedback, feel free to leave it here so it gets to the right team to improve future updates: Product Feedback - Apple

Take care.

Hello mrvictorricardo,

You can track the flights you've climbed by following the steps from this article:

Track daily activity with Apple Watch - Apple Support

Make sure you've set up the Activity app:

Get started
When you set up your Apple Watch, you’re asked if you’d like to configure the Activity app. If you choose not to, you can do so later when you open the Activity app for the first time.
1. Open the Activity app  on your Apple Watch.
2. Swipe left to read the Move, Exercise, and Stand descriptions, then tap Get Started.
3. Use the Digital Crown to set your sex, age, height, weight, and whether you use a wheelchair.
4. Choose an activity level and start moving.

Check your progress
Open the Activity app  on your Apple Watch at any time to see how you’re doing. The Activity app displays three rings.
The red Move ring shows how many active calories you’ve burned.
The green Exercise ring shows how many minutes of brisk activity you’ve done.
The blue Stand ring shows how many times in the day you’ve stood and moved for at least one minute per hour.
The Activity screen, showing the Move, Exercise, and Stand rings.
If you specified that you use a wheelchair, the blue Stand ring becomes the Roll ring and shows how many times in the day you’ve rolled for at least one minute per hour.
Turn the Digital Crown to see your current totals—keep scrolling to see your progress as a graph, your total steps, total distance, workouts, and flights climbed.
An overlapping ring means you exceeded your goal. Turn the Digital Crown, then tap Weekly Summary to see how you’re doing for the week.
See your weekly summary
1. Open the Activity app  on your Apple Watch.
2. Turn the Digital Crown to scroll to the bottom of the screen, then tap Weekly Summary.
The summary includes a week’s totals for calories, average calories, steps, distance, flights climbed, and active time.

Best Regards.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to reply.

I know how to track my flights climbed, that’s not the problem here.

What I’m saying is, when the ‘Stair’ exercise is finished and you can view the summary, it should - by default - show how many flights were climbed immediately, in the summary of the ‘Stair’ exercise just completed. It is like the run exercise not tracking the distance. I think that would just be common sense?
