Apple News+ pop-up

I have not subscribed to Apple News+. Recently, Apple News+ has started popping up a free trial offer every time I make a move through the ordinary free news feed. It blocks the whole screen, and though I can swipe it away, it is hugely annoying. Because it is so irritating, I have decided NEVER to subscribe. NEVER. I want to stop the pop-ups. How?

How to remove news+ in the Apple news app? How do you disable news+ in the Apple news app? I have no desire to ever use this and it's just spamming me articles I would never read. For now I just switched to Google news. Normally I use both but this seems to be blatant mass spam. I hope there is a way, It's kind of sad such a wealthy company needs to force feed spam with no option to disable. *reposting this as the issue was never resolved.

Apple News constantly shows articles that are weeks old that have already been skipped via scroll There are a few old posts about this, and an apple community expert posts the link that explains the different elements of Apple News. This is not helpful. I follow dozens of news outlets, topics, and editorial publications, and I still manage to hit the bottom of the scrolling pretty quickly compared to something like google news that never repeats an article if scrolled past. Apple will keep articles and news stories in your feed until they have been read. Even if you block or thumbs down a channel or topic, it will remain in the feed for days. I think if Apple can’t figure out how to serve up content in a way that is new -every single time I scroll- I’m going to have to abandon my premium subscription. enter: a bot to link me to this useless article How to use Apple News

I’m getting this too. Every. Single. Day. It’s infuriating. I’m ready to ditch the Apple News app.
