Why does my apple watch not count flights of stairs? I can go up and down six times and it tells me I've done 0 or possible 1.

thanks for trying - switching from a fitbit with a bit of a struggle
For some people, stairs don't count well and I don't know why.
I'd reach out to Apple Support and ask them for guidance. If you're in the US, you can call: 800-MY-APPLE
I'm sorry, I couldn't be more helpful.
You're welcome. And do contact Apple directly. They'll help you.
How many stairs? I believe it takes at least 14 (if not more) stairs for the watch to count stairs covered.
5 flights from our suite to our parking and I get 0 or occasionally 1
Standard building stairs so likely 14-16 per flight.
