App freezes and won’t quit

On my MacBook Air an app fills the whole screen and with no option to close it. I tried escape to no avail. Control/option/command didn’t work. Switching the computer off doesn’t work either. Anyone any suggestions please?

my macbook air wont force quit apps or shut down Hi everyone! So yesterday my teams was being weird and I couldn’t open it unless someone sent a message and I clicked on it. Finished what I needed to do and tried to restart it, wouldn’t do anything. Then force quit apps, again, nothing happened. I then tried to shut it down and nothing! It’s as though I’m clicking on the actions and they don’t exist or something :/ v worried pls help!!

Quit unexpectedly window not going away So ive got an m1 max 14 inch laptop and apps often seem to quit randomly, but it's even more frustrating because sometimes the window that comes up to reopen the app or ignore just won't go away. Its just stuck there and I have to shutdown my computer to get rid of it. I was going to load an image to show this but another issue that ive been having has happened. When I open a dialog box to select an image or when I try to save something in photoshop, you can't click on anything, it just doesn't work. You have to just press esc to get out of it. I pretty frustrated by this. Apple you need to release an update to fix these issues!

Try -> Force an app to quit

Press these three keys together: Option (or Alt), Command, Esc (Escape).1 Or choose Force Quit from the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen.

A Force Quit window opens. Select the app that you want to quit, then click Force Quit:

The Finder is always open, but if it stops responding, you can force it to quit and then open again: Select Finder in the Force Quit window, then click Relaunch.
