iMessages notifications not working

Hello,

my phone all of sudden stopped showing notifications when someone texts me, I didnt turn it off nor do I have Focus on.

Theres just the little number next to the app icon on the home screen, but no notification banner, nothing. Not even in the notification center..

Any ideas how to fix it? I tried restarting the phone, updating iOS, turning the notifications off and on and nothing works.
