How To Stop iPhone from Automatically Sending Audio Messages?

The instant you lift your finger from the mic, it sends what you've recorded - does anyone know how to make the phone let you play the message first and delete it, record a new one to get it right, then choose Send?

Thanks - exactly the answer. To help everyone else reading this, I'll give the answer in words. If you hold down the mic button and record = iPhone instantly automatically sends the text; you can't listen to or delete it. But if you just tap the mic, record, and then tap it again to stop recording, you can listen to it and/or delete it.
