One any iPhone, the red dot means the Microphone or Camera is in use. So, to rid of this this, close all of your apps: Close an App on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support

Close All Apps:

An app is accessing your audio. So, close all apps. Hold you finger down as you swipe up. Then, close all of these open apps, by sweeping up wkly for all apps.
