Using voice memo as alarm

I wanted have a different volume for my alarm and for the ringtone. After a lot of effort and several messages, I realized that this is not possible. My next idea is to record something quite and use THAT at the alarm.

When I searched for a way to use the voice memo as an alarm, I read that I have to record it, then send it to my computer, then change the type of file, then send it back to the iPhone.

Is there another way? Several years ago, I used to be able to drag and drop files onto my phone. Now it seems that I have to "sync" everything and do all kinds of fiddling around.

Can anyone help me figure out the best way to use a voice memo as an alarm?

thanks

To make and/or use a voice recording as an alarm, you must first make that voice recording suitable for an alarm.

Sorry, lost out of sight . . .

If I converted it to mp3, would that work?

The iPhone uses the .m4r file format, which has an AAC audio codec. This means that you can save your file in AAC (.m4a), and then click on the file name and simply change the extension from .m4a to .m4r.

Then you can convert the mp3 to m4r via Zamzar online (it is free),

After I converted it to a suitable form, then what do I need to do?
