I can’t change location settings on my Apple Watch.

Question

I can’t change location settings on my Apple Watch.

So I went into my location services on my Apple Watch to change the hand washing feature because at the moment it’s not on always allow the location settings for it is on while using the app but when I got in there I couldn’t change any settings they were all greyed out! I tried looking for settings>general>restrictions but there isn’t a restrictions tab in general for me also before I go into the location services tab in my watch it shows some other apps and some other settings but when I go into them I also can’t change any settings but when I go into those settings on my phone I can change them but the hand washing tab isn’t there in location services on my phone settings. I wasn’t sure what to do so I went to google but I found nothing so I went here please help!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like the main concern is enabling Handwashing notifications. Right?

Try these steps from Set up Handwashing on Apple Watch.

"Receive Handwashing notifications

Apple Watch can remind you to wash your hands shortly after returning home.

Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
Tap Handwashing, then turn on Handwashing Reminders."

Your Apple Watch uses Location Services from your iPhone which will apply to the Handwashing notifications as well. As mentioned in the same article above, "To receive handwashing reminders, you must set a home address in your My Card in the Contacts app on iPhone."

To confirm, are you able to adjust Location Services settings on your Apple Watch by navigating to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services? No I don’t have a problem with hand washing notifications you haven’t read what I wrote.
