Need info on installing .app or .ipa file in Xcode Simulator

Hello Experts,

I am trying to install vpn client software which is available in ios app store. For testing purpose, I need to install the vpn client software and have to establish the vpn connection to my end device. I am using xcode 14.2 with ios simulator as iphone 14.

Is it possible to bring up this scenario on xcode ? if yes, could you please share some relevant documents on how to proceed further as I am new to app side testing.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.7

Apple states not:

I don’t see any newer doc indicating this is possible or supported.

Test with the VPN on a real device. I wouldn’t bet that a VPN works the same on the simulator as it will on device. This particularly given the simulator and the VPN both mess with IP routing.

Thanks for your reply. Thats we are already doing it. Since I need to cover automation on different setups, Incase if I want to proceed with simulator, will it be feasible. Since, I have made it work on AVD and written a wrapper class for it. I just want to check the feasibility of same for iOS.
