How to prevent app automatic login

I have a duplicate account of an app. I want to delete it. I am unable to do this by logging into that account on my laptop, it says I can only delete it on the app on my phone. However, whenever I try to log into the app on my phone, it automatically logs me into the current one so I can't get into the duplicate one to delete it.

Hi sparkerart7,

Thanks for checking. If you are unable to log out manually from the app and enter the user account information manually, then we'd recommend reaching out to the app developer by completing the steps listed here: How to contact an app developer - Apple Support to get more details on resetting the info. These steps can also be found below.

"Contact the developer of an iOS, iPadOS, or watchOS app

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Search for the app, then tap it. If you can't find it, tap the account button  or your photo at the top of the screen, tap Purchased, tap "Not on this [device]," then tap the app.
  3. The app's product page appears. Scroll to the Ratings & Reviews section, then tap App Support. If you don't see App Support, make sure that you're signed in with the correct Apple ID."

Best regards.

Hello sparkerart7,

If you're using Sign In with Apple for the app, this page can help to manage that: Manage the apps that you use with Sign in with Apple - Apple Support

These steps can help with checking to see if the app is using Sign In with Apple:

View the apps that you use with Sign in with Apple

On your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple Watch
1. Open the Settings app, then tap your name.
2. Tap Password & Security.
3. Tap Apps Using Apple ID.

The steps here can then assist, if it is using that feature:

Stop using Sign in with Apple with an app
1. On your iPhone, go to Settings, then tap your name.
2. Tap Password & Security > Apps Using Apple ID.
3. Select the app or developer, then tap Stop Using Apple ID.

What happens if you stop using Sign in with Apple with an app
When you stop using your Apple ID with an app, you're signed out of the app on your device. The next time you visit the app or its associated website, you can either select Sign in with Apple to sign in again, or create a new account.
If you choose to use Sign in with Apple again, you're signed in to the same account that you previously used. Some apps might let you create a new password for your existing account so you can sign in again without using your Apple ID.
If you delete your account in an app where you use Sign in with Apple, you might receive an email from Apple that the app has revoked your Sign in with Apple account. If you want to create a new account with that app, you have to share your name and email address with the app again or create a new account using Sign in with Apple.

Cheers.
