I have the Google Chrome browser for my Macbook Pro and everytime I try to use it to look something up on google, the search engine instantly switches to a yahoo search. I tried switching to safari search as well and it did the same thing.

Reset Google Chrome to its defaults by following these instructions:

Remove "CleanMyMac" and "MacKeeper" according to their instructions. Non-Apple "cleaning" things are scams that will corrupt a Mac or just prevent it from working. I generally recommend erasing the affected Macs and reconfiguring them from the ground up. Yes they are that bad.
As I wrote the most expedient means of recovering from the use of those apps is to erase the affected Macs and reconfigure them. That's what I do, and it's what I recommend for others. It saves time.
Hello, I deleted both of those apps and reset my chrome and it still isn’t working.
Everytime I use my Google Chrome browser it switches to a yahoo search.
