i1Profiler does not have valid permissions to save files. Please make sure you have read and write permissions on the following directory and its subdirectories: /Library/Application Support/X-Rite/i1Profiler

Trying to install i1Display Pro device on Venture, got this error after installing i1Profiler and running it.

Here is my solution:


Open up a terminal and type these:


sudo chown -R administrator:staff /Library/Application Support/X-Rite/AmbientMeasurements
sudo chown -R administrator:staff /Library/Application Support/X-Rite/i1Profiler



For both folders, clicking the lock icon and enter your password.


And give "staff" user "Read & Write" permissions.



*Screenshot was taken before executing the commands above. You should see "staff" instead of admin.
