Connecting iPad 5th gen to Wireless Headphones
Hello! Is it safe to connect a wireless headset (Steelseries Arctis 1 wireless) to the iPad 5th gen? I tried it once and it works but I have no idea if it is safe to do that.
iPad Air, iPadOS 15

Troubleshooting Wireless Headphones:
A dongle would never heat up an iPad by default. So, either the dongle is a defective item or the iPad has a setting that is misconfigured. So, I’d say stop using these with your iPad, and return them, if an option. Being defective, and causing overheating, will easily damage the iPad.

Troubleshooting Wireless Headphones:
A. Compatibility:
Connecting them would be just fine, if compatible with the iPad OS version. So, check the manufacturer or the original packaging to see if this is an option.
B. Cleanliness:
As long as there is no harmful substance when placing them in your ear to use, then doing that would be just fine too.

It is not at all unusual for an iPad to become warm when being used - more so when using some types of iPad case. High screen brightness and/or CPU intensive Apps (such as some games) will also create much more heat. Your iPad’s thermal management will automatically keep your iPad within design limits.
While your iPad may become very warm in normal use, the iPad should not become uncomfortably hot to handle. If your iPad is becoming too hot to hold, you should take your iPad along to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store - where the technicians can examine and test your iPad for faults.
