Crop (mask) feature on Pages not showing fully? Driving me INSANE. Please help! Thank you.

Hi,

I need help cropping an image inserted into Pages. If I go to:

Format

Image

Edit Mask

(or double clicking the image)

it brings up the slider tool which allows me to zoom the picture in or out. However, all I want to do is crop a portion of the photo (without zooming in or out).

This is what I should apparently see on the mask toolbar:

Please help, it's driving me insane?!

I have multiple photos that I want to crop down, re-size and then fit as many as I can onto an A4 sized page to print onto photo paper.

I've given up using Word (which I would normally use, as when I insert pictures into Word I keep getting a red 'X' symbol).

Please help, this is driving me insane?!
