Grab won't work

Try using Pacifist to reinstall Grab from your Snow Leopard disk.

I also can not open Grab. I selected it from the application/utility menu, it went to my dock. But won't open from the dock.
When I quit Grab, it disappeared out of the dock and now is not in the utility folder anymore. I tried the below but there is no Pacifist in on my Snow Leopard disc. I am a new Mac user.
Help please!

Pacifist is a third party application that allows you to extract contents of installer packages. There is a link to download it in the post above.

Before I download Pacifist, is there any other reason why Grab won't open? Thank you.

If grab is broken then that is why it will not open. That is pretty much the only reason why it would not work.

Could also be a corrupt preference file.
