Problems Ventura 13.2

Hi to All

Since yesterday, after upload of Ventura 13.2 on my Mac Book Pro, I have problems with external Hard Disk (Buffalo), means I cannot move files from my Mac to HD and inverse, also I cannot unblock security at HD also using Administrator login, I cannot change writing/reading on HD and its files.

Please help me

Hi
Thank you for helping but I cannot resolve the problems, I follow all steps proposed by you but nothing.
Yesterday I recuperez file from HDexternal but not with originale files name.
The problems is only one, MacBook read UDe using MAC-DOS-FAT32, UDe should be NTSF that MacBook cannot find.
Maybe I should get that file in a way?
Thank you
Gabriele

If this NTFS then upgrade the associated third party software if that is your issue...to r/w on Mac.

Hi gadiflorio,

We appreciate you reaching out to us.

We’d like to gather additional details that may help us be in a better position to assist you.

  1. Are you able to access a different external storage?
  2. Is the affected external storage device connected directly to the MacBook Pro, or are you using an adapter?

In the meantime, let’s test if the issue persists on a newly created user account.

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Users & Groups  in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
  2. Click the Add Account button below the list of users on the right (you may be asked to enter your password.)
  3. Click the New Account pop-up menu, then choose a type of user.
  4. Enter a full name for the new user. An account name is generated automatically. To use a different account name, enter it now—you can’t change it later.
  5. Enter a password for the user, then enter it again to verify. Enter a password hint to help the user remember their password.
  6. Click Create User.

You can use the article below as a reference.

Add a user or group on Mac

If you are experiencing the issue when signed in on a different user account, please check if the issue persists while on safe mode.

Safe mode does a basic check of your startup disk, similar to using First Aid in Disk Utility.

Performing this step may help resolve the issue, or further isolate the issue.

Below is an article to help guide you through the process.

How to use safe mode on your Mac

Also, please check if your external storage device is connected correctly.

Take care!

I uploaded the system with Ventura 13.2. I never had a problem with Apple before but now everytime that go to Apple Store to get help with the Genius Bar my computer get worse. I don’t know what to do. First started with Microsoft Office didn’t run well, I went to the Apple Store and “they fixed”, but at the next day I noticed that I didn’t open App Store and I didn’t look for any updated. I went again to the Apple Store I told me that I needed to reset my computer but I was “too late” that day and I needed to do another appointment, came for 3 day in a row, left my computer there, they told me “back in 2 hours”, when I came back told me “here is your computer you can do the rest in your home”, came to my home and THE SAME problem continue and now I cannot connect my account anymore with the computer, so: it’s worst! . I scheduled a 4th appointment for today. I already change my password, reset my computer, see if “the hour is ok”: everything!

I have 2 USB 2.0 flash drive not working after the update ventura 13.2.1.

They are formatted as FAT32.

They still can be seen in disk utility.

I also get disk ejection error when I eject without ejecting in the disk utility.

I know for sure it was the update because it is readable on my family's mac that was not updated.

Please let me know if a fix is coming.

Me too, I had a Seagate Time Machine that kept getting ejected. Every time the computer was sleeping, I tried it with Big Sur on another computer, and the drive was fine. Seagate actually replaced the drive after a big fight in which they told me it was Apple issue, and Apple said it was a Seagate issue, the new drive doesn’t work either. It gets kicked out before it can finish one back up. Really annoying.
