So, my issue has been that I’ve had some songs in my iTunes/Apple Music library for years (or not even) and I LOVE the lyrics feature, even if I already know the song, I like following along and occasionally realizing I’ve been singing it wrong for x amount of years.
I noticed that if I played the same song that has been in my library from the artist page it would have the lyrics, but not when I’d try to add it to my library/playlist a second time. It’s like my copy or whatever version I have overwrites the Apple Music one. Maybe a conversion issue?
I’m here because I finally decided to google this issue…which has been mostly a dead end. I haven’t tried doing the language thing, BUT! I found something that works.
1st - I went to settings, scrolled down to music, and turned off “add playlist songs.”
2nd - I went to a random playlist and deleted the song from my library that I know didn’t show the lyrics.
3rd - I then went to the artist page and added the song I removed back to the playlist it was removed from. The song can still be downloaded, even though it hasn’t technically been added to your library.
& now the lyrics show!
I’m sure not everyone would want to do this, but here’s an option if the lack of lyrics from songs in your library annoys you as much as it annoyed me. I also rarely play songs directly from my library, I listen to playlists pretty much 24/7.
I hope this helps someone!
