This is why you should always set up a second trusted number. It can be a landline number like your work number. It can also be a friend or family member's number.
You should review this information on recovering your Apple ID:
How to use account recovery when you can’t reset your Apple ID password - Apple Support
I'm not sure I understand how those two questions are related. If you recently created an Apple ID, it would automatically have had 2FA and you can't turn it off. If you have an older Apple ID and you've had 2FA for more than 14 days, you can't turn it off. The only circumstance under which you might be able to turn it off is if you recently enabled 2FA on an older Apple ID. If that's what happened, look for the email confirming enrollment in 2FA and see if there is a link to remove it.
Why would buying a new computer mean you would need to turn off 2FA or create a new Apple ID. You should be able to use your current Apple ID and get the 2FA code in the same way you always have. Is there information you haven't included such as you've lost access to your trusted numbers?
I don't have a first, let alone second number now. I don't have a landline and I don't work. I would never ask my friends or family to do such a thing.
Is it impossible to own a mac under these conditions? Should I just stick with windows? Thank you.

I cannot answer that question for you. You'll need to consult with Apple.
I've lost access to my trusted numbers, had to sell my phone
Right on, thanks a ton anyway
