I bought a Apple IPhone watch for $300. It was erased and I was told all I’d have to do is pair the phone. It’s not working and I can’t get a hold of him and it’s been late fall since I bought it. It keeps asking for ID and Apple ID. I

I bought a iPhone watch for $300 to go with my 12 pro max. The guy showed me it was deleted and all I had to do is follow the directions from the phone and watch to sync them and language. It won’t let me put in my ID and Apple ID but his email I guess is still on there but I don’t know how to put my info in.

Activation Lock is designed to prevent anyone else from using an Apple Watch if it's ever lost or stolen.

About Activation Lock on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Activation Lock is an anti-theft feature that cannot be bypassed. Only the previous owner can remove the lock by using their Apple ID & password. Apple will not help you find the previous owner. If the previous owner cannot or will not remove the lock, then the watch is useless to you or anyone else. Try to get a refund (through eBay) or dispose of the watch properly. In the future, see the 'Before you buy a watch from a third-party' section in:

The watch is useless, you need the original owners icloud info in order to remove the icloud activation lock.

You probably bought a stolen or lost watch.
