My iPad 5 is giving an unexplained alarm.

I have it charging via a lightning cable through the USB port on an echelon exercise bike. I only use it on the bike for a speedometer and milage tracker via the echelon fit app. It randomly goes into a strange alarm that I've never heard before. I've sampled all the notification sounds and can't find any standard ones that match it. I found an alarm that was in the iPad (wasn't on) and deleted it. I've checked and all my apps are set to "notifications off". The alarm will sound until you sign in and push the home button a couple times or until you push the reset button on the top. Hello Nighthawkxiii,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. Do you only experience this sound when the iPad is connected and charging through your exercise bike? If you haven't tried yet, we suggest connecting to another source and see if this behavior continues to occur. This can help determine if it's the iPad or the exercise bike that's causing this issue.

In addition, let's ensure that your iPad is updated to the latest version of iPadOS 16.3. Having the latest iPadOS version helps to provide software improvements that can help resolve unexpected behavior. Here's how:

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
The Settings app on iPhone showing options to update to iOS 15.7 or iOS 16.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

These steps are outlined in this helpful article: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Best regards.
