Exclamation point issue on iPad keyboard.

Why in 2023 does the Apple keyboard show both the exclamation and comma (also full stop and question mark). Why are those two special. Pushing shift does not switch them every time on my iPad. It's EXTREMELY frustrating that sometimes the exclamation works after selecting Shift and sometimes it does not. Why can't these two keys work like every other key when I push shift. It makes no sense.

For example. If I start a new line the Shift is auto enabled but the comma field is displayed if I click that key. I then have to deselect and then re-select the comma key again to get the exclamation text to appear. This is not intuitive.

You may find it useful to turn on Key Flicks in the keyboard settings to make it easier to input these and other characcters.
