I just realised that all my documents have disappeared on my Mac book. The folders are there but there are no documents in them. I have tried to check if they are in the cloud but i also dont see them there. I need some help

Are you sure you logged in to the correct account ?
If so:
You might want to try searching for one of the files,
... perhaps find one, maybe find all elsewhere ?
Eg: Narrow your search results on Mac – Apple Support
Else:
Maybe there's a "stack" swiped to somewhere from the desktop
Use desktop stacks on Mac – Apple Support
