First, try resetting your AirPods:

Open the lid of your AirPods, press the pair button behind the cover, and hold the button - until the diode lights up orange, then white. See if you can pair your AirPods with your iPhone via the pop menu now.

If this does not work, try instead of connecting via the "pop up" menu, try connecting via the bluetooth menu.

1. Reset your AirPods again, as described before.

2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth

3. Open the lid of your AirPods. If the Pop Up menu appears, dismiss it.

4. Find your AirPods in the list of available Bluetooth devices and tap and wait until they are connected.

If your AirPods are not genuine, you will get the message that your AirPods cannot be verified.
