Why am I not receiving "Ask to buy" notifications being the Family Organizer?

I’m the family organizer, why is the other parent on the account the only parent who is receiving “ask to buy” requests when either of my two children are seeking to download a new app? What do I need to do to receive them as well?

I'll add that recently there have been an unusual number of posts about this issue and it is possible Apple has recently changed something. I recommend providing feedback about this. Click on this link for Apple products feedback links --> Product Feedback - Apple

Apple may not respond but your comment will be read.

Here is a solution where editing the name of a mobile device resolved recent occurrences of this issue. It has worked for at least 6 users (and likely more who never provided feedback). It isn't something that Apple has in its documentation so I am putting it in a second post for those who are interested in exploring beyond Apple's officially recognized solutions.

Go to: Settings > General > About > Name

Change the name

Then "Done" and retry.
