Apple TV unwatchable due to Pixelation

Looks like Apple TV pixelation issues have been happening for many since at least 2021. Its not an internet issue from all the complaints (including my own). Its an apple x sony issue. Currently, we are experiencing this with our apple tv app on our sony tv (which streams every other app perfectly)

Apparently apple tv is doing nothing to fix the issue at large?

Pretty frustrating to start paying for something you cant watch properly.

Any apple people on this forum who can actually help in regards to this specific pixelation issue? The help in other posts has been generic and actually not helpful. Or should we all just ditch apple tv? 😑

Have you had the chance to check if you are using an Apple TV App–Supported device? Apple TV app - Devices - Apple

If you are using an Apple TV App–Supported device, resetting the app may help.

"Open the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app.
Go to Settings.
Choose the Reset option."
