Google Location Suggestions In Safari

I don’t know if this an iPhone or Google issue but yesterday, I was searching something on Google. Search was fine but when I clicked on one of the suggested locations the individual info did not load and at the top where the pictures were it said “Check internet connection and try again”. I restarted. Cleared cache. Internet is fine. Does not work on wifi or off. Just started. Never got this before. Is there a setting I have to put on safari?

Hi sugabeats1,

Welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community.

It seems some websites are programmed for use with specific web-browsers.

If the programmers do not know how, (or are not paid for the time to) they may not allow for more than one or two of the most-used browsers to access that website.

You can often find out on the website itself, which are the preferred web-browsers ... if you can access it (or ask questions by eMail). Some of us may download a secondary browser specifically for the very few websites we encounter that do not work well with Safari.

Else, installed apps like third-party (non-Apple) ad-blockers, virus-checkers etc. can sometimes interfere with internet use.

Not that I know of... you can check through Safari Settings if you wish.

The most up-to-date version of Safari is included with the latest version of iOS for iPhone. (If iPhone is not already updated to iOS 16.3, you could try that.)

All the best :-)
