HOME POD 2nd Generation
Just received the new HomePod.
Wondering if there is a way to apply equalizer settings to alter the sound?

There is an option under accessory details for the HomePod in the Home app to Reduce Bass. If you're using AirPlay from a Mac you may be able to use the main Mac volume control for AirPlay which should send a post-EQ output from iTunes/Music. Not sure this still works on Ventura.

Just trying to send music from a MacBook to HomePods 2, with EQ enabled but no effect on the music , same with iPhone and no option on Apple TV 4K …
No offence but it’s Absolutely needed IMO, having access to equalization is the 1-0-1 basics when it’s about listening music. From classic music to jazz passing thru electro and hip hop we need a true access to frequencies control more than a super lossless compression that you can’t even differentiate from another codec.
APPLE I need answers on this please maybe I missed some details
How does it sound? Mine never arrived today.
Enjoy!
Awesome -- very clear and rich.
The EQ question was simply a way to play around with the acoustics
Not needed but would be fun.
Thank you I ll let them know
