Apple Watch SE interfering with car Bluetooth connection

I recently received a new Apple Watch SE. When using Bluetooth in my car to listen to Spotify or Maps with my iPhone 13 Pro, the sound will become distorted. It sounds like a scratched record or CD intermittently as long as Bluetooth is connected. I don't have this affect with any other devices such as Bluetooth speakers. I don't have this problem if I'm in the car and not wearing my Apple Watch. All of the devices have the latest updates. This doesn't occur if I am connected and using the USB connection instead of Bluetooth. It is definitely the Apple Watch causing the issue. I don't know if it matters, but my car is a 2017 Subaru Outback. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
