Multitasking disappeared and I was overjoyed. Now it’s back.

I know, I know. I have iOS 15.7 so I am stuck with that annoying little sliver of a screen on the right side of my iPad. If I wanted to read an email link as a skinny sliver, I’d read it on my phone. I have irreparably terrible eyesight. The whole point of getting an iPad was to have a larger screen for my emails and article that people send me via email. But if I touch a link, I am screwed.

I managed to trick it for a while by disabling “full screen access.” But it didn’t take long to bring back that ridiculous little sidebar. I guess I am going to have to purchase an older iPad if I actually want to see more that three lines of text.

Has anyone figured out a way to “trick” this? And why didn’t I have to deal with it for almost a year? What made it come back? I did not knowingly invite it back.

iPad Air, iPadOS 15
