Apple Watch ECG Crown Button Not Working

Tell Apple what you think they should do. You haven't done that here on this user to user only forum, which Apple doesn't actively participate in.

If there is an issue with the crown on your watch, schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation. But since there is no recall on the crown on Apple Watch, if it is no longer within warranty, it likely won't be fixed for free.

Your assertion on why Apple changed the process for turning off Water Lock is most assuredly wrong however. People complained that rotating the crown was too easy and they were inadvertently turning off water lock with normal wrist movement. So, it was changed to require a dedicated push, which actually makes sense.

The first thing that I noticed in your post is that you're not doing the steps right. You are pushing in your crown and holding it in.

This is incorrect!

All you do is place a finger on the crown. This 'grounds' the watch.

It may or may not be cheaper to have it repaired even though you'll have to pay for it. I would say it's worth at least contacting Apple Support.

I'm not sure if this will help or not... Try using your pinky finger.

My hands and fingers are usually in pretty rough shape due to my line of work (Potato equipment technician. Dirt, Oil, Grease, skin cracks, blisters, all that good stuff, rough I tell ya).

One thing that I've noticed is that my pinky's are almost always in fine shape.

You are so right. I haven't finished my first cup of coffee and didn't even realize they are pushing in the crown to read ECG as opposed to just resting their ringer on the crown.
