band missing

Actually, when I bought my Series 8, I had to order it with the size that I needed. There is only one band size included.

Look at the labels on the outside of the box and it will say what size the watch included (small, medium, or large).

Thinking that I knew what I was doing, I purposely ordered mine as a medium. When I got the watch, I realized that I didn't know what I was doing and I had to turn around and order a large band from Apple 😂

The seller did NOT cheat you. Apple no longer includes the long and short band with Apple bands. When you order a watch, you need to choose which size sport band you want. You have to choose either the S/M or M/L band with the watch.

I only got two pieces with the watch and they were for small/medium arms.

Because of my goof, I had to order M/L (Medium/Large) separately. Two pieces were included inside of that package when it arrived. Both pieces were a bit longer than the original two pieces, both!

The S/M fit me but I had to wear it in the last hole. The M/L allowed me to tuck more excess through the hoop. I was concerned that there wasn't enough excess on the S/M and that it was going to be popping out of the hoop. Maybe it never would have popped out, idk, I didn't try it. I waited for the M/L to show up instead.

From the posted photo, it appears there are two parts of the band in the box. I could be wrong. But people who have purchased watches prior to the release of watches this year, Apple included three pieces in the sport band box. They included the S/M and M/L piece. They don't do that anymore and now one needs to choose the correct size. So I assumed (perhaps incorrectly) this is why they were asking if they should have only received one band, when previously, they would get both the longer and shorter version in the package. Said more simply, I think they were expecting three parts to the band and only got two parts.

No, you are misinformed. M/L is one piece, just as S/M is one piece. There are only two size Sport bands you can get. You either choose S/M or M/L. For BOTH sizes, you get only two pieces in in the box, NOT THREE.

If you got two pieces in the band box, you got EXACTLY what you were supposed to get.

If you purchased the watch from Apple, contact them. You can speak with an Apple Specialist at 1‑800‑MY‑APPLE. Otherwise, you should return that to the seller.

Lobsterghost1, I may be wrong but it appears the OP only received one part of the band. Pilerman’s photo clearly shows there should be two parts, no matter the size.

Once upon a time, there were three pieces included. That is no longer the case. Apple has stopped doing that.
