MacBook Pro connected to TV via HDMI cable - only get black and white TV display

I used my 13 inch 2020 MacBook Pro connected to the church's Sony Vizio TV via HDMI cable - only get black and white TV display - changing MacBook's Systems Settings Displays didn't make any difference - still only got grayscale (image was clear and correctly displayed otherwise) - changing HDMI ports on the TV didn't alter grayscale only TV display.

When I connected to a different Sony Vizio TV using the same MacBook and HDMI cable; color imagery on TV. Clearly, this is an issue with the TV (which correctly displays color when a Windows laptop is connected using the same HDI cable).

Any work around for this ?? HDMI to Composite plugs adapter ??

Macs are Very fussy about any errors generated in talking to a display. This problem could be caused by less-than-stellar cables.

HDMI cables you want for HDMI-only Displays (higher resolutions than 720p TV sets) are marked as Certified with an anti-counterfeiting tag and are labeled:

"Premium High Speed HDMI cable" or that + "with Ethernet" --OR--

"Ultra High Speed HDMI cable" or that + "48G"

Cables with No Certification tags are good for your standard 720p TV set, and not much more.
