iPad screenshots work fine unless the shot includes a camera view

I’ve seen this question before, but people are always referred to Apple Support. I would just like to know if anyone else has my issue. I do screenshots just fine on my M1 13” iPad Pro unless I’m looking at a security camera. Let’s say I’m watching someone break into my house over a camera, and he looks right at the camera. I take a screenshot so I can have a great picture of him. The screenshot is completely black. This happens on 3 different brands of cameras. Please don’t misunderstand and focus on why I would do the screenshot when I can hit record on the camera. I know how to do that. I just want to know why the screenshot is black when a screenshot works just fine at other times. Here’s what it looks like if I screenshot six of my cameras in HomeKit, and those are snapshots only 2 or 3 seconds old.

I considered that as well. I haven’t called Apple Support because (long story short) I had an issue with my 24” M1 desktop hubs not recognizing my iPad when connected. I tested my wife’s iPad and confirmed the hub was the likely problem because it wouldn’t recognize it either. Support replaced my iPad. In the end, they made it right and replaced my M1 desktop because they couldn’t find the problem. Apple ALWAYS makes it right, but I don’t want to go through all that for this issue. By the way, my original iPad, my replacement iPad, and my wife’s identical iPad all do the same thing when I screenshot a camera view. Have you tested it yourself? Thanks for your reply.
