My Apple Cash was overcharged at a Shell Station

Hi I went to a gas station I used Apple Cash outside on pump put $25.96 dollor gas and put the nozzle back and after few minutes they charged me $100

Apple Cash just vanished! So I was at Jimmy John’s and my Apple Pay was declined twice trying to use my Apple Cash. Each for $14.20. I was weirded out and as I was checking to see why it was declining I noticed my balance drop $50 from nowhere. No record or transaction showing, no pending transactions, it’s just gone. It wouldn’t worry me but the pending transactions from Jimmie John’s would only be $28.40 and those were just flat out declined. Definitely worried I’m out $50.

Gas stations typically place a hold on a much larger amount than needed. It will be reversed once your actual amount clears.
