Ventura - Disable keyboard brightness function keys Just switched to Ventura, and I'm wanting to disable the F1 & F2 brightness controls on my Magic Keyboard. However, I can't find the controls for it. Looking in System Settings -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> Display, it shows F14 & F15 as being the controls, but I don't have that many function keys on my keyboard. Poking around in other areas, I can't find anything that references F1 & F2 for brightness controls, or configuring the other function keys. Any idea where I can find the controls that I'm seeking?

Adjust keyboard brightness option missing After updating to Sonoma, the "Adjust keyboard brightness" option is now missing from the System Preferences> Keyboard settings! I've read dozen of topics of people having the same trouble and their problem has never been solved! This is insane... I've tried eveything in the System Preferences, resetting everything I could possibly reset but nothing works! The screen brightness still adjusts automatically, my webcam works, and that option missing simply shows that it's a software problem... Are people at Apple listening ? I keep on hoping for this to be solved with an OS update but I did the last one available this morning and the problem is still here! Help please...

Some keys on some Apple keyboards have special symbols and functions, such as for display brightness , keyboard brightness , and more. If these functions aren't available on your keyboard, you might be able to reproduce some of them by creating your own keyboard shortcuts. To use these keys as F1, F2, F3, or other standard function keys, combine them with the Fn key.
