Outlook for Mac crashes

I'm experiencing a problem with Outlook for Mac - crashes on start up. I have deleted all MS 365 Apps and reinstalled. No improvement.

I got through to the MS Outlook team - this procedure fixed the problem

1-Make sure you are running under the latest versions of Mac IOS and MS Outlook. 2-Close Outlook. 3-In Finder, go to the Applications folder and go to Microsoft Outlook. 4-Right click, select show package contents. 5-Open Shard Support. 6-Launch Outlook Profile Manager. 7-It should show you your existing identity and main profile. 8-Select Create a New Profile. 9-Create (name) it as "Outlook New". 10-Right click on that and make it as the default. 11-Close the Application Folder. 12-Open Outlook. 12-This should open and start downloading all your emails housed on the email server

Overall this worked but there were the following 2nd order affects:

Outlook opens. However, in middle of setting up my email accounts Outlook did a couple interesting things

  1. The system repeatedly tried to log me into a Microsoft account from a company I have not worked for since 2019. Each time I manually entered the correct account Outlook would fail again. So, I went into keychain and searched for and deleted the old domain
  2. In parallel with error 1, when Outlook was rebooting, the system repeatedly gave me a warning that it could not open One Drive – So I have temporarily deleted One Drive from the computer.
  3. Once I removed OneDrive – Outlook now appears to be stable.
  4. Finally, Outlook “forced” me to accept (not download) the “New Outlook” – which did not download a new version of Outlook, but definitely changed the Outlook GUI. So in addition to setting up a new profile I’m going to have to get familiar with the new GUI. The system is stable at moment
  5. I plan to work without One Drive, until I get feedback from you on what else I should watch out for.
