Locked SIM CARD
My iPhone is locked. Verizon says Apple locked it. Apple says it’s Verizon’s fault.
Trying to load ESIM card which is impossible to do at this point.

The phone is locked to your carrier. Only the carrier can lock and unlock the SIM card. It's that simple. Apple has nothing to do with this.
Ask for a senior support person at Verizon who will give you some straight answers.
