My iPhone won’t automatically capitalize I anymore

I’m having the issue where my phone won’t automatically capitalize “I”anymore. I ran across this question from a couple years ago as well on this forum and tried what was suggested but it hasn’t worked. It’s starting to get frustrating because I can’t seem to fix it no matter what.

Here is what I have tried so far:

1. Tried to power off my phone and power it back on again.
2. Tried to add a shortcut to change “i” to “I” (didn’t do anything)
3. Restarted my phone again.
4. Tried to reset my keyboard settings (as per the suggestion before on a question similar to this).
5. Again, restarted my phone.

My iPhone is an iPhone 13 and I have iOS 16.3 so the most recent currently.

Nothing seems to work, and call it lazy but I’m really tired of forgetting while typing and having to go back and fix my mistake for almost every “I” I write. Closest Apple Store is 20ish minutes away and it just doesn’t seem like a big enough issue to go out of the way to fix it at the store but it certainly is a slight inconvenience.
