I've not used Toast 20 myself. Read it's specs and it should tell you what systems with which it is compatible. As long as it can upload a Mp4 movie then it should be able to burn a DVD from it, since iMovie exports an Mp4 movie at all settings except for Best Quality (pro res).

The procedure would be to export your iMovie project as a movie file on your desk top. Then drag the movie file into Toast's upload window, or follow whatever instructions that Toast has for loading an Mp4 movie into the app.

You will need a DVD burner and a standard DVD disc. Burn at 4x speed.

Good luck with your project.

The Roxio Toast 20 website (see link below) indicates that it works on M1 Macs and Monterey.

If Toast can burn a disc image, then burn the disc image before burning the DVD. Then, you can burn as many DVDs as you want from the disc image without having to go through the entire rendering process each time.

I haven't used the Toast 20. I use the DVDFab creator... However, I think they usually work the same way. Just load the source video that you want to burn to DVDs and choose the burning mode with customization then start it. But please note that sometimes it failed because the video formats need to be recognized by DVD players. For example, transferring imovie video format to avi.
