running out of disk space

Is anyone else having this prob. Ive been working away and all of a sudden, I get a force quit error message telling me I am using up too much disk space. when I check, I see that Grammarly is sucking up about 17.2GB.

I have checked Reddit, and this seems to be an issue for some folks on there also

This is a new problem, it started about a week ago, and I have had Grammarly for well over a year.

I am running Ventura 13.2 on an M1 Air

I have spoken to Apple directly and they just tell me to quit my app and then all will be fine, this is not the case.

This is driving me nuts

if you are running low on space, you can purchase an external HDD or SSD of sufficient capacity and move your larger files (videos, pictures, documents, etc...) to it. once they are on the EHD, you can simply erase the same files from your internal drive. and, if it's just going to be used for storage, you can use an HDD and save a few bucks over the cost of an SSD. FWIW, i personally keep very little on my internal drive.

additionally, you want to keep ~ 20% of your local drive as free space for proper operation of macOS.
