Unpair watch without phone

I recently purchased new iPhones and sent in my others for trade-ins. I did not know that I needed to unpaid my Apple Watch from my old phone. How do I remedy this now that I don’t have my old phone?

How to unpair your Apple Watch if you no longer have the phone it was paired to I originally paired my Apple Watch with a different iPhone. I now have a new iPhone and have traded in my old iPhone.
